With that, I go back to playing monitor.

i got that also in 2021. i questioned lance, and i was called 'faithless', cuz i didn't like his game. i've learned to just speak my mind and let the chips fall wherever. brock played like a 10 year vet day one, he moves well, he plays fast, he just really doesn't grip it and rip it. and in conditions he doesn't really grip it. that's my take. i'll be happy if he gets a pay day for him. i just hope the team gets a friendly deal also.

I agree with the premise of this message, but IMO, Aiyuk is better than DJ Moore.

It's close. Aiyuks a better route runner but I feel like that's where it ends for him. I've seen Dj make better plays, takeover more games, have more good seasons, and do it with lesser QBs. I have to give the nod to Dj for that
I agree with Kyle's statements that a tough year like this may actually benefit Purdy. He had known nothing but success until this season. Going through this may help him down the road in close games during crunch time.

They also had Keenan McCardell for a portion of 2004 and 2005 and people definitely thought that was a loaded offense. You could make your argument going into 2004 and would be laughed at any time after for the next couple of seasons at least.

As far as Mason goes, maybe it's just a bad comp then on your part. Obviously not as bad as Hester for Deebo.

In reality, Brock has had a dominant run game, a HoF RB in conversation as the best receiving back ever, a HoF TE, an All pro WR, and another All Pro gadget player.

You obviously weren't posting on football forums back then. Nobody thought they were loaded on offense. That's why Brees commanded a huge contract (for the time...comparable to Tom Brady's in 2005) from the Saints on the open market despite coming off a torn labrum.

Aiyuk is not decisively better than Mason. Why would he be? Nobody thought anything of Aiyuk until Brock started throwing perfectly timed anticipation throws to him. He's a technician, and technicians are always contingent upon the guy throwing them the ball.

There isn't really a good stylistic comparison for Screenbo. The point is he's not a real wide receiver. Stylistically, I would say Roger Craig, but they have the opposite personality. Craig worked his ass off. He taught Jerry Rice how to work. He would NEVER take a play off. Screenbo is the biggest loafer I've ever seen.

Make Roger Craig a lazy loafer who only plays when he feels like it, lining up as a receiver most downs, and you have Screenbo.

You know who else had a dominant run game? All the QBs who played with Walter Payton and Barry Sanders. It's meaningless.
LOL. Dude, I don't know where you're getting your info, but it's bogus. Craig taught Rice? LOL. If Deebo is the biggest loafer you've ever seen, then you ain't seen much.

Comical. You have no clue what you're talking about and post something like THIS?

Also, name a bigger loafer than Screenbo.
There seems to be some disconnect here where people think that Brock was an average QB in 2023, played average, and the 49ers had the season they had. He didn't. He was the best QB in football by a landslide in 2023. That's why the offense had the season it had.

That misconception is the only explanation for this idea that the 49ers would somehow have a chance to win SBs by paying an average QB less money than Brock.

You can't win the SB with an average QB unless you're the Queefs and have systems that do the work for the players on both sides of the ball. Even then, the refs need to get involved.

You can't build a supporting cast that will carry an average QB to a SB title. Nobody's building a 2000 Ravens defense in this era of football. Nobody's going to stack an offense with playmakers that make an average QB light it up and win the SB.

This team also doesn't have much going for it in personnel at this point. Aiyuk will likely never be the same player after blowing out his knee. CMC has chronic injuries that mean he shouldn't be featured anymore. Screenbo is Screenbo - a bad receiver. Kittle has played 8 years and has been banged up throughout his career. Player careers aren't as long at most positions as they used to be. Trent Williams will be 37 next year. Nick Bosa hasn't played up to his contract. Dre Greenlaw is injured again.

People are talking about this team as though it's the 2012 49ers and should go out and get Peyton Manning.
Not gonna get caught up in the craziness.

First, Kirk Cousins

Just franchise tag Brock in 2026 if they are still unsure (meaning worth $60mill) about him after next season and they have no one else lined up.

Again folks, he is not gonna hold out. If they are worried about the optics of the starter Brock playing on the final year of his deal, then try sign him this offseason to a *three* year deal... that is really like a two year deal.

Kyle said Brock and the team will have to turn to the tape this offseason to identify areas of improvement. That's not a player you give a top dollar contract to.

Which is essentially what a 5 year deal would be. Give him 5 years, big signing bonus, ability to get out of the contract after year 2 of the extension.

This is much more simple than most in here are making it out to be. Under no circumstance will he be seeing $250M.

Wow. Craig showed Rice and others on the team the hill he was running. One thing. An endurance workout. He sure taught him, didn't he? LOL. Define loafer. Footballexpert...

Lol guess you were supposed to know..that "taught him how to work"..actually meant show him a running spot in the hills to work--out. Thank God Craig showed him that area..if not, who knows if Jerry would have been Jerry lol

You should really stop eating paint chips.

Rice running the hill is literally famous, and it came from Craig. Rice got his work ethic from Craig. The fact you can't even grasp the meaning of basic words and their implications demonstrates you really shouldn't be posting on forums.

"Define loafer"...so now after claiming that saying that Screenbo is the biggest loafer I've ever seen means I must not have seen much, you can't even define the word?

You're a joke.
